Your Questions, Answered

No separate foundations are required. However, the base must be solid, well-bearing, and non-settling. Small height differences are not an issue, as the sauna is delivered with adjustable feet that make leveling easy.

A sturdy, well-built terrace also works perfectly as a base.

Yes, it is. The price includes all materials you need to set up your sauna — and more.

The only step handled separately is connecting the electric heater to the power supply, and it must be done by a licensed professional.

The installation and electrical connections of the heater must always be carried out by a certified electrician for safety and compliance.

The heater can be installed either as:

  • Single-phase, with a recommended 35 A fuse, or
  • Three-phase, using 3 × 10 A fuses. The final connection method and fuse size are always confirmed by the electrician based on the installation site.

Yes. All our saunas are designed and manufactured in compliance with Finnish legislation and the guidelines of Tukes (the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency).

We take fire-safety requirements, safety distances, and ventilation into account in every model

The difference is the heating method:

  • Alegría Sol models are heated with an electric heater.
  • Alegría Fuego models are heated with a wood-burning stove.

You should reserve about one day for installation. Assembly is recommended with three people, but it is also possible to assemble with two.

Our collection is designed to be as easy and straightforward to assemble as possible — and we keep improving it to make the process even more effortless in the future.

Yes. Every sauna comes with detailed instructions for correct installation, ventilation, and safe use.

No. Basic tools are enough: a power screwdriver/drill, a hammer, and a spirit level. Good work gloves make the job more comfortable and safer.

Assembly is even easier if you also have a clamp and/or a line laser — they’re not required, but they can speed up and improve accuracy.

Each sauna part weighs about 55–65 kg, so they are relatively heavy. Handle the parts carefully and lift in a controlled way to keep both people and materials safe. We generally recommend moving and assembling the sauna with more than one person, and using lifting aids if needed (such as a hand truck). This makes the work easier and safer

All Alegría Saunas are made in Finland.

All our saunas are treated on the inside with sauna wax, so everyday care is easy. Usually, clean water and a microfiber cloth are enough after use. After each sauna session, let the sauna ventilate and dry properly to keep surfaces in good condition over time.

The exterior surfaces are treated with wood protection, so their maintenance interval is longer. Exterior surfaces should be maintained as needed — and if the sauna is constantly exposed to harsh weather (e.g., sea wind, strong sun, or high humidity), the maintenance interval may be shorter.

Heaters and any chimney components must always be maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure safe use and keep the warranty valid. If needed, we are happy to help you choose the right care products and maintenance schedule.

Yes. Our saunas are insulated in the walls and roof with 50 mm Ekovilla insulation, and the structure includes vapour-tight aluminium paper and bitumen paper. This helps the sauna heat efficiently and protects the structure from moisture.

At the moment, our saunas have not been tested in freezing winter conditions. Heavy snow load on the roof may damage the structure, so we do not recommend leaving the sauna unattended for long periods in harsh winter weather.

We are currently developing a solution for cold-weather use, and we will release a dedicated Winter Collection later in the future

So far, we have tested the sauna at around +7 °C, and it has worked normally. We have not yet carried out comprehensive tests in sub-zero temperatures, so for heavy winter use we recommend waiting for the upcoming Winter Collection.

Our saunas come with a two-year warranty.

The warranty covers manufacturing and material defects affecting the structural or functional durability of the sauna. If a defect occurs, we will repair or replace the faulty part free of charge in accordance with the warranty terms.

Heater warranty follows the heater manufacturer’s own warranty terms. We supply only well-known and reliable heater brands, and their warranty applies directly to the heaters and electrical components.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, natural movement of wood (e.g., small cracks or colour changes), damage caused by incorrect installation, or improper use. For outdoor saunas, proper protection and maintenance are required for the warranty to remain valid.

If the sauna is used in accommodation, public, or other professional settings, the warranty is shorter (one year) or requires a separate agreement.
